When I first heard of employers asking for Facebook passwords from prospective employees, I thought it was a joke. I guess I was wrong. This discussion should be taken very seriously. I would not give a potential employer my Facebook password, not because I am hiding something, but because it is my personal life and I would like it to remain, well, personal. Plus, I do not disclose private information from my job to my friends and family; it is a two way street. Background checks and drug tests will give companies the answers they need during the hiring process. I have a feeling I will keep reading about this topic for a long time.
