Here’s an interesting piece announcing that Facebook will soon introduce real-time analytics giving users real time results on what people are talking about, and what pages are most popular. For marketers, this feature will facilitate the opportunity to ‘course correct’ their messaging and advertising approaches. Turns out that Facebook is doing this to appeal to advertisers/marketers as they prepare for their $5 billion IPO. Unfortunately for Facebook, Google beat them to the punch in September.
